The last update I got on the green mini bat also shows that it's just awaiting printing. It's almost much closer to the colors I asked for than the pink one wound up being (came out more...purpley? unfortunately).


Angel is in production now too, which makes everyone underway!

I thought about it and I think that the surveys should probably go out at the beginning of January. Most people, myself as a backer included, like to fill them out as soon as they're sent out so they don't forget. I won't be charging them until the pins arrive, likely in February ahead of CNY, but right before the Holidays and also overlapping with the existing Holiday Market (lots of participating backers!) would be really poor timing financially. 

So, what that means:

I also wanted to say that I dug a bit into my misc business funds (from Retro Game Con thanks to Fantasy Fox Creations!!!) and also paid for 3 new eye candy and 1 eye boba liquid shaker designs to begin production. I don't have any updates on the eye candies yet (made based on the poll results) but here's the eye boba!!

I love it and can't wait. I really needed to get these last bucketlist things out there before I closed and I'm so IMMENSELY grateful to everyone helping that happen!! I'm sickeningly happy with all these eye-related liquid shakers though, so, like quite a bit of my pre-existing designs I'm going to try to find a way to tie them into my OCs so that I can keep them around as game dev-related merch.

In the future, Fantasy Fox and I also may run a joint campaign to make our own custom liquid shaker molds (and again on my end I would "give" the keychain to a character so the merch can stick around indefinitely) because there's only so many days in a year, and tariff nonsense and crazy xenophobic tantruming by the regime really ruined the momentum at which I needed bucketlist things tackled (amongst everything else). However, those are OBSCENELY expensive.

The only other things I have going on that I need to finish are getting my cat paw septums finished (my gem cutter suddenly quit on me and my jeweler has no idea where to find a new one, so they've been sitting gemless at the factory ...), and I also have some new pudding keychain designs in the works. Ideally I can also get a jirai kei bandages set made, but that's been postponed for about half a year so I'm not sure if it will still happen before end of 2025. Thanks to the holiday market hitting 1.5k I am able to take the snakes off that list 💜🐍 I'm not done designing things! But other ideas will all be intentional merch for my game(s) and aren't me scratching unafilliated creative itches like these list items are.

Any of these keychain bucketlist items (including new puddings) that arrive before Holiday Market fulfillment ends will enter the chance pool for the grab boxes.

PS: My combo of carpal and cubital tunnel has finally reached the point of admitting to myself I need proper imaging/nerve assessments to possibly pursue surgery. I have always avoided it out of fear because it's of course worse in my dominant hand, and everything I do in life is affected by that hand. But that also means everything I do in life makes it hurt worse. I saw rheumatologist today for the first time and left with a ton of referrals and a lot of labs having been done, so hopefully my current severe flare ends soon. I always am way too verbose, but typing hurts a lot now even if I use the swype function on my phone keyboard (which I almost always do) so updates will have to become less frequent across all campaigns. 

Since it completely affects not just my ability to ✨️Art✨️ but also my ability to do just about anything else, this will also affect my shows coming up, my packing speed, and my already slow (due to other health issues) game dev progress :( so if I do need surgery before the estimated fulfillment period of this campaign I'll let you know. 

Hi there, sorry for being so quiet. 

Our snake Cupcake passed away this month, and one of the reasons this campaign was delayed so long was because her tank mate Medusa passed from suspected cancer in August. So I've been very...burnt out, and emotionally spent. But silence on my end doesn't mean pieces have stopped moving.

Thank you for fixing your errored payments! We wound up with only 3 errored, totaling $229, that's really good!! Because that's so low, we should have no trouble funding Mermaid and Harpy via any survey add-ons, possibly even Kuchisake-Onna...I'll finish my Hedge Witch pin concept art too just in case. Speaking of the surveys, I'll do my best to get them out by the holidays and their due date won't be until February likely (because of Chinese New Year).

In 1 week, the Holiday Market will be open. I finally have a banner for mine, though it's...chaotic. I'll have pledge levels/add-ons available that range from $10-$255: various possible mystery boxes/bags of every type of merch I have, as well as the usual gacha spins available (ONLY in-stock products).

For boxes where apparel or jewelry are possible, it'll ask in survey your sizing or if you have metal allergies, etc. Doesn't guarantee you'll receive apparel or jewelry but at least you'd receive the right kind if you do.

I've never offered such steep discounts and it's because I'm closing as I've mentioned,  everything must go ASAP. Though, I'm currently also primarily self-funding those extra Eye Candy shaker colorways that won in the poll so if those arrive soon they will also be possible winnings!

Hi everyone! I have some additional info about the Holiday Market coming up and below the cut is backer-only info related to the funding for this project!

Sorry to email blast everyone, but I've come to the realization that project update emails reach people more effectively than "launch" email list emails because those go to the promotions tab on most email hosts. And this event will be my merch shop's last major hoorah outside of the unfortunately still TBD (because of my health) online shop reopening. (As a reminder I will continue to sell normal inventory at cons until I run as low as I can, and will also continue to make merch specifically related to my OCs in my game dev endeavors). 

Several people have been asking me when I'll reopen my shop which is why I think this may be of interest to my broader audience and not just this project's.

...is a first for Backerkit. It's not a crowdfund exactly, it's a market just as is titled. They're now saying there will be over 150 participants, which is a lot. In theme with it being the end of the year, I'm absolutely going to mostly be selling bundles of things at huge discounts. This also allows me to not have strict quantity limits on any add-ons! 

This was my most recent convention setup (I split a 10x10 at Matsuricon with Fantasy Fox Creations...unfortunately we were alllllllll the way in the very back, away from all other artists but 1. FFC will also be having a Holiday Market campaign/shop front!).

You can see from this that I have a pretty wide variety of merch "categories" and all of them, except badge ribbons, are included as lucky box options!

There's also a lot more that I had to shave off my display as my inventory grew, that is still essentially brand new with nothing wrong with it, that'll be included in lucky boxes too - for example my chenille patches, shoelaces, tote bags, etc. I also have a LOT of one-offs of pins that I've found in stock over the past several years that I couldn't justify bringing to cons or listing online, because there's truly only 1-2 left. That includes mini bat colorways, normal sized pins that have been sold out for years like my rainbow planchettes and sweets bats, things like that.

Lucky box/bag options will be available in various sizes internationally (but not for anyone in the EU still unfortunately 😔). For the US, they will be based on priority flat rate box sizes and have shipping cost included, though if you add on anything else it will need to be shipped separately with its own shipping cost.

And if you're concerned about germs, don't worry - my self-serve convention stock is totally separate from my online sales stock, that's part of why I went back to a grid setup this year (which I hadn't done in like 5 years).

There will be general mystery boxes/bags, mystery boxes themed on specific item categories (like keychains, normal size pins, or stickers), and I'll also have gacha spins of all in-stock collections. Unfortunately that does exclude Monster Girl Riot (#1) despite them arriving last week, because of the quality issues of the stock received...I'm now waiting on remakes. So it will only be for my mini pin gacha designs.

I hope you'll consider partaking! I have to come up with returnee and early bird rewards but there will be those too!

Hey all, we've got just over 24hrs left. We've gone really up and down since Pintober launched, but if we can hit 3.5k by the end of the campaign we won't have to do any extra fundraising through the survey for Demon, and can just focus on Mermaid for it!

I have a sleep study tonight that starts at 1am so I'm not sure how present I will actually be able to be tomorrow, I've been waiting for this for 5+ years and am not someone who "wakes up" easily even under normal circumstances. If I don't have the chance to update again before it ends, I hope you know I am super super grateful for your pledges - especially because the October date for this was nailed down so abruptly compared to our original late-summer plans.

She's here: Demon can be pledged for individually now (and has been officially added to the gacha pool for this campaign)!! She's $25 since we are now out of the Early Bird phase.

The grey on her flail and top is recessed metal to look like actual cracks/ribbing, and the fishnets will be printed black (not dark grey). The irises will glow in the dark, as well as her skin patterns! The fan is going to be printing directly on the metal with glitter enamel on top of it (the same effect as the Geode Pet pins!).

I'll try to squeeze in unlocking new Eye Candy shaker colorway(s) too, based on these poll results (attached, still open)!
